I’m Adam Gingery (pronounced with hard g’s), a digital marketing expert based in Philadelphia, PA. I’m a partner and Digital Strategy Manager at Majux Marketing, and I engage in consulting and ongoing marketing relationships with clients around the world.

I’ve optimized millions in paid search and display budget for large and small firms alike, and I’ve led SEO strategy for B2B companies, consumer clothing brands, law firms, medical device companies, music businesses and more. These days, I consider myself a cross-channel digital marketer; I’ve experienced how PPC advertising, email, SEO, web design, content marketing, and social media all feed each other, and I love getting my hands dirty in every area of digital marketing.

My Professional Journey

Musician Turned Marketer

I didn’t take the usual path into marketing. After receiving a double bachelor’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and Orchestral Instrument Performance, I earned a MMus at TCU as a teaching assistant. I still play and write about music, and I’ve enjoyed applying my musical knowledge to a number of marketing projects, including erikagingerymusic.com and londonpianocentre.com.

Industry Beginnings as a Copywriter

I first broke into the ad industry as a content writer – I performed keyword research and wrote blogs and web copy for local businesses. That led to a traditional copywriting job at an ad agency in Dallas, where I wrote headlines, ads, scripts and more for a number of brands (including Mission tortillas).

I still write articles, ads, and web pages every week, and this fundamental knowledge of advertising communication has effectively fueled my marketing career.

Moving Into Digital

I had occasional exposure to Google Ads as a copywriter, but when ad budgets started shifting almost entirely to digital, I decided to pursue PPC, SEO, and other digital channels full time. I moved back to Philadelphia and took over SEO campaigns for Broadview Networks and Mitchell and Ness at a local marketing agency, and I managed $4M in annual Google Ads spend on top of that.

Since then, I’ve led digital strategy for numerous clients at Majux Marketing, and my work includes almost every digital channel except for connected TV.

When I’m Not Growing Businesses

Music will always be a part of my life, and I enjoy recording on both the piano and the euphonium. My wife Erika and I are looking forward to launching a recital series out of our studio space in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, and I work with local singers as their collaborative pianist.

You’ll often find me smoking meat on the Big Green Egg, shooting competitive darts in the Olde English Dart League of Philadelphia, or exploring the exciting food and arts scene in Philadelphia.
